Planter University 2025

Planter University is back for the 2025 season!!

Planter University will be held from February 3rd to February 7th around the state of Iowa. With an additional clinic being held the following week at the new Alliant Energy Ag Innovation Lab in Ames, Iowa on the 11th. Check in starts at 8:30 with the clinic running from 9-3.

  • February 3rd – Location will be held at the Cass County Community Center in Atlantic, Iowa.
  • February 4th – Location will be held at the Northwest Research and Demonstration Farm in Sutherland, Iowa.
  • February 5th – Location will be held at the Northern Research and Demonstration Farm in Kanawha, Iowa.
  • February 6th – Location will be held at Heartland Acres Agribition Center in Independence, Iowa.
  • February 7th – Location will be held at Crystal Creek Entreprices in Dewitt, Iowa.
  • February 11th – Location will be held at the Alliant Ag Innovation Lab in Ames, Iowa.

This years clinic will focus on furrow health, planter maintenance and upgrades, and on farm field trials. The schedule has been attached below.

Furrow Fundamentals; Tips and tricks to evaluate the furrow and set planter down force, and make other planter adjustments
 
This session takes an in depth look at evaluating the seed furrow and properly setting depth and downforce for a variety of conditions. Along with other row unit issues that can be diagnosed and corrected by evaluating the furrow.
